Glovebox

The Aerospace Human Systems Laboratory (AHSL) is in the process of designing and building a partial vacuum glovebox to enable in-house experimental research of EVA gloves. This glovebox will be unique in that it is anthropometrically variable with adjustable height and adjustable arm-port separation.

Additionally, the glovebox will employ automatic pressure regulation to allow for easy operation at anywhere from 4.2PSID to 8.3PSID. The glovebox project is currently in between preliminary design review and critical design review. Manufacturing is expected to begin at the end of the year.
